Rest

I’m learning that rest is not distraction
But attention, that presence brings peace, that
Knowing you are God requires being still
But not stagnant. I must move past the stop,
Like Mary, who did not join Martha’s work
But was nevertheless engaged, in tune,
Invested in eternity in time.
